The ebike is very cute, but had some significant shipping damage, and has several serious design flaws. The ebike arrived with the battery loose and banged up, and the plastic elements of the storage compartment marked and battered. The lock had completely snapped off. I noted some rust and flaking on the fenders while assembling. Having ridden the YIDI ebike for three months now, I've noted that the screws and nuts do not stay in place. They have to be tightened before and after every excursion, and often fall off entirely leaving the seat, lights or fenders loose. the rear fender fell off every single time I rode, and I eventually removed it. The front fender stayed in place until it's brace fully snapped off. The right mirror cannot be tightened enough to stay in place, nor can the headlight. So, while the battery and charger work fine, and the ebike is extremely cute and helpful for my commute, it has structural issues that need addressing before I can recommend it to others.
